Returns Policy

If in the event of needing a refund, credit or exchange for an item purchased from this site please refer to the following and contact the store either by phoning (02) 4578 1251 or emailing us at

You must first receive a return approval from us before sending the item back and/or obtaining an exchange or credit. A return approval can be obtained by contacting the store by phone or email (see above).

We take all purchase complications seriously and your satisfaction is our top priority in these and all cases of interacting and selling to customers.

For returns on items bought at our physical store in Richmond, please call (02) 4578 1251.

Items for refund

Items that are eligible for refund must fit the following circumstances:

  • Item is not what was ordered.
  • Item is faulty and cannot be replaced.

In these cases you have 15 working days (3 weeks) to lodge a return with us after the invoice date.

You can then return the item via Australia Post or by bringing it into our store (please see Contact Details for store location and postal address).

When returning the item by mail, be sure to do the following:

  • Include the receipt for the item.
  • Make a note of the problem with the item and the postage costs to you for sending the item back to us - this is so that we can reimburse you for postage after approval of your return.
    You can either include this information in a written note in the parcel itself, by emailing us at or by calling us on (02) 4578 1251 during business hours.
  • Include the whole item.
    For example: A CD, DVD, clothing item or Vinyl Record must include the original packag, the CD/DVD/Record and any booklets/inner sleeves, etc that make up the complete package that was ordered.

Faulty Garments

Richmond Records Online Store does its best to ensure that all customers receive goods of top quality.

However, in the situation where you believe that a garment may appear faulty, or different from the description provided on the website, please contact the Online Team immediately on 02 4578 1251, and we will try to resolve the issue as quick as possible.

We will require the garment to be returned to the Online Dept to be examined, and if the garment is correctly identified as faulty, the customer will be reimbursed any postage fees that may have applied to return the garment. A receipt for the postage cost must be enclosed, as no refunds will be issued for postage without a receipt

Shipping Details and Time-frames

Orders made at are sent via Australia Post. Free shipping on orders $200+

Regular: Delivery 3 - 6 Business Days

Cheapest option. There is no tracking number for this option and once the order has been dispatched is the responsibility of Australia Post.

Delivery Outside Australia

  • Delivery of orders outside Australia is provided by Australia Post and no tracking or insurance is provided unless the purchaser selects an Australia Post delivery method that offers tracking and insurance. This tracking and insurance will only apply for when the package is in the hands of Australia Post, ie: when the package is in Australia. Once the package enters another country and another postal service the tracking and insurance is dependant on the postal service that the package has entered.
  • Delivery Costs vary according to the size of the order, the items ordered and the method of delivery.
  • The delivery of orders outside Australia are reliant on overseas postal services. Delivery timeframes vary according to method of delivery, country of destination and destination postal services. However, the purchaser should allow a minimum of 15 business days from the time the goods are despatched to receive the items.
  • Richmond Records ( will provide as much assistance as possible in tracing misdirected items but cannot be responsible for items lost by overseas postal services.
  • Overseas purchases will be exempt from Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST) but the purchaser should be aware that there may be customs charges and/or local taxes in the country of destination. We strongly recommend that anyone outside Australia who is purchasing products from Utopia Records check with their local authorities to determine applicable charges. Any additional costs are the sole responsibility of the purchaser.
